Important Information for landlords

We have listed a few important fact sheets/links to help you better understand your obligations as a Landlord.

Lessors are allowed to pass on the full water consumption charges (including bulk water charges) to tenants provided all the minimum criteria has been met.

The property manager/owner is responsible for ensuring the property is fit to live in and in a good state of repair. If a tenant, or their guest, damages the property, they may have to pay for repairs .

A General tenancy agreement (Form 18a) is the agreement between a tenant and a lessor/agent which sets out the terms of the agreement.

The Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act 2008 (the Act) contains information on how the Act applies when a lessor/agent wants to enter the premises.
